The focus of botany is growth. In the pursuit of light. That is the only goal of the plant. It knows no distraction from its pursuit, in which it invests all its strength.

A human being’s focus is on his role in society, in the impact he has on others.

A botanical thinking would be needed.

Rudolph’s objects function as notes to himself, with which he documents his thoughts and questions about human nature.

Through the meanings and associations that they evoke, the employed materials and shapes function as words, coming together to form statements.

These kinds of notes are the result of his inability to aptly record important thoughts in writing in all their depths.

With the objects, he makes his thoughts comprehensible at a glance. Title and short description only offer the viewer a direction for more profound contemplations.
